Another patch making early game faster


Uploaded a new patch to web and windows builds.

  • More work at making early game faster/better. Player now gets 5 free housings and 6 free miners at start. Also further lowered cost, scaling and requirements of various early units and upgrades. And I'm working on further tuning as well, to make early game feel great.
  • Forge and laboratory are now gated behind requiring 7 miners and 4 runners, plus have better explanation of what they do, in order for early game to be slightly less overwhelming and punishing if players buy scientists or runesmiths too early when they don't do much. This should hopefully lead to a bit better early progression, though I still prefer that the player has access to most buildings very early on like now.
  • A.R.L.T.D.S. anti falling rock turrets no longer require T2 prestige to unlock because they feel too crucial and fun to use.
  • Added damage numbers toggle in the options which can drastically impact FPS late game, especially with a lot of flamers and laser cannons.
  • Bunch of other bug fixes, optimization and tweaks.

The next major thing I'm working on is the ability for the player to actively click on unclaimed ore in order to slightly nudge/knock it towards the stash. This should give you something to do early when there is downtime, and also make the early game faster, while not feeling too active/necessary, but also having uses later in the game with allowing you to retrieve buried artifacts sooner.
