Maybe to buff/change how the turrets work, at higher burst fire levels or with each burst fire upgrade they fire more at once instead of in a barrage? With high enough cooldown and enough burst fire there are lasers constantly firing but they cant keep up with lategame rockfall/skulls etc. In line with that if keeping the barrrage from the burst fire upgrade, maybe make the cooldown work so they can fire another barrage while the previous one is still going on.
i have the feeling i get to few mithril, i have around 100000 gold but i just dont get all the mithril i need. the mountain sucks up to much of my mithril so i dont get many
Mountain can't suck up mithril. But yeah, in endless mode, especially late endless mode, mithril gets rarer because dens scale off mountain HP so they become exponentially harder to kill, even with maxed ballistae. This will have to be slightly adjusted, or will be naturally improved with new buildings, or ways to attack dens, or get mithril. Late endless mode is kinda a wild west anyway lol.
Endless mode is anything after lvl 50. Late endless mode is like around 80-120+. If you select Quit game? Of course you should Save game before quitting. In browsers the Save on quit option doesn't quite work.
pixel glitches also appear for me if i start the game with non-100% page zoom level btw and in that case they don't get fixed by toggling hd mode. not a big deal but i thought i'd mention it
I assume you're talking for non-fullscreen, right? Because yeah then if zoom isn't a perfect multiplier like 100%, 200%, 300% etc. it's not possible to have perfect pixels.
Runner speed is fine after a few certain prestige upgrades, but the starting speed of runners probably could be faster (+10% or +20%) so the first run or two isn't as painfully slow
I do not plan to support Mac because I do not own one. Unfortunately one cannot easily install macOS like one can Linux to compile for it. Also only 2% of steam users use mac, so prospects aren't great, sorry. Would be cool to know if it works with Whisky/Crossover/Sikarugir though.
I was surprised with that because I'd guess the word wasn't used at all. But I see now, the word "fucker" is used once when it comes to those radical demodwarves. I don't know man, based on the perspective, there are many "inappropriate" and brutal things when it comes to the dwarves and life, in this and many other fantasy universes, so a basic primal swear word like that does not strike me as particularly inappropriate.
the new update with exporting your save has be unbelievably thankful, my school has Chromebooks that wipe almost everything except for the drive, and now I can save across Chromebooks! yay!
small bug note: when I hover over things like the gold counter are really weird looking
This weird pixel distortion usually happens when you start the game on browsers. As the note says in game's description: If you see weird aspect ratio, resolution or pixel artifacts/glitches, toggle HD mode ON/OFF (F4) and it should fix them. I suggest doing this every time you start playing on browser.
I've just recently gotten to the point where the game starts lagging, after buying the upgrade so the turrets damage the wall. I would play the desktop version, but unfortunately, I am on Mac. Are there any plans to bring this game to Mac as well? If not, I might be able to play it through whisky or something once the steam version drops.
also, I just accidentally closed the tab, and I think I lost my save... I don't know what to do about that. didn't clear cache or cookies or anything, but I'll probably just wait until the steam version is available, and start over there if it's available for Mac.
"Save on quit" doesn't work on browsers if you close the tab. So you should always manually save or have auto-save on low frequency. But unless you disabled auto-save completely and didn't have a previous save, I'm not sure what would cause you to lose all progress.

yeah I don't know what happened with the save, but I'm not too worried about it. I had only done 1 prestige so I wasn't crazy far in. And no worries on Mac support, I never expect devs to plan on supporting Mac, especially if it's 1 dev or a small team, but I am always curious. I appreciate the answer and some shared confusion lol. I do use safari, so that very well might've messed with something. safari typically has some weird issues with browser games sometimes.
i know that the lab and forge unlock some stuff and those unlock others but what unlocks the lab/forge??? this is a mystery to me that i desperately want to figure out.
Amazing game! I've sunk hours into it and still can't stop playing. The graphics and visual effects are absolutely stunning – pure eye candy. Totally worth it, highly recommend!
I've added some stuff already, but there won't be a lot of bigger content coming until the full release. I'm mainly fixing, optimizing, balancing and polishing for the Steam Demo. However before that I will be adding a couple things still, such as a new collector unit Bulldozer, which should be ready in the next day or two.
Somehow my swap buildings price was -2 gold... A little bit of grinding by swapping some buildings back and forth later, and I'm getting 1.2 Trillion gold per swap.
Haha oops. Ritual cost reductions (from scientists/runesmiths) need to be capped. Plus I don't like the current ritual system of costs exponentially increasing per use either, so I will make a better more linear and cheaper scaling, but increase cooldowns.
Absolutely love it already, but I'm wondering, will there be an auto-buy for the upgrades? Or at least away to keep a certain amount of upgrades through prestige
How would auto-buy work, like how/which upgrades would you determine need to be auto-bought? And what if situation/plans change? Feels like auto-buy isn't meant for this kind of game and it's more for classical incrementals where you are endlessly buying hundreds of simple producers.
Yeah it's definitely not as necessary here, my only thought is after a few prestige having to buy the basic upgrades for each building each time could get a bit tedious. Something like a perk for specific buildings that only buys gold upgrades if they cost < .01-.1% of total gold could help smooth out the post-prestige bits.
it would be nice to have a way of knowing how many times the runsmith enchants are used on a dwarf, or be able to see if you have already used it 4 times
If you try enchanting and it's been used 4 times it will tell you. But yeah there could be some kind of indicator, I will anyway be adding a dwarf stats panel that shows you all their important stats.
Disregard my previous posts: I don't know how and when the developer managed to fix the runner bug but it's not happening anymore. It made me sound ungrateful but trust me that bug was annoying, I envy those who will play the game without ever knowing it. Now if it could be possible to have the downloadable exe working on windows 7, that would be perfect.
Hello, I just did and it still does not work unfortunately. Getting Entry Point Not Found error. Specifically "MFCreateDXGIDeviceManager could not be located in teh dynamic link library MFPlat.DLL". The browser version works so not everything is lost, I can still enjoy your game but if you ever find a workaround for W7, I'll take it! Cheers.
After some research it seems like Windows 7 support was dropped in GameMaker 2024.11+. The incompatibility stems from a dependency on the MFCreateDXGIDeviceManager function, which is not present in Windows 7. Sadly there is nothing I can do about this. Might be time to update to newer OS. According to Steam hardware & software survey only 0.08% of people still use Win7.

Haha, lvl 100+ is wild! Amongst other things I will definitely have to diminishingly cap ore force/velocity that scales with damage, so they don't just (always) fly off the screen and directly into the stash.
I played the game for 7 hours straight and really liked it. I won’t go into the runner bugs - the only thing I’ll say is that the early game ramps up too slowly. It takes a long time before you reach your first decent results, and during that wait you already feel like closing the game because the beginning is boring and drags on. If the early phase were sped up by about 25-30%, it would feel much better
UNPLAYABLE. Your runner bug is tied to the carry capacity. Every time I select the carry capacity upgrade, it resets magically the runners. Until they get knocked out by calamities/enemies and then it's bug time all over again. Impossible to make a profit, impossible to get all the ores that pile up and bury the precious stones. Simply put, a waste of time
I believe the latest hotfix fixed the issue. Sorry for the troubles. What made fixing this bug so hard is that somehow I cannot replicate the bug in my games, and I had many different game states running at once trying to replicate it to no success, and since reloading fixes the issue, that made it even worse.

it also continues if you go into fullscreen, you have to restart the game to fix it, and it's bad at 200% too

the update came at the right time, turns out i forgot to unlock some upgrades in my previous run and that's why it was way slower than usual :)
also i just prestiged and had two gems fall from the sky in the new game, was that intentional?
That's a small bug that can sometimes happen when you prestige. Will be fixed eventually, but enjoy your free gems for now XD
does anyone know what exactly unlocks every building (other than the starting three)? it seems random to me but i haven't been playing too long lol.

My whole save got erased somehow. I had every PP upgrade and now its gone because we arent able to export our saves. Please help!

Maybe rituals and windbomb could scale off of how much money you have. Like they just cost a percentage of how muhc you have at the time.

it seems i'm able to click on alchemy and have it cost some gold (about 100) despite it being n/a??
on that note, forge artifact shouldn't be accidentally clickable and costing stuff when you already have all the artifacts either

is it normal to have 150K dpm by the time you reach wall 50?
i only had a 140K dpm so idk?
i just finished it with 130k with all the prestige upgrades and a strategy of upgrading whatever random things i can afford, so yeah probably

Have you tried installing Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributables?

The gems are now flying in the sky, and the runners have lost their jobs because there's no work for them anymore
